All notable faults: Upper and lower hinges separating, moderate surface dirt on the covers, one 15 mm tear on the upper fore-edge, minor wear on the corners and edges, a few spots of foxing, a few moderate marks and contemporary previous owner's inscription (To Nora, with best wishes for a Merry Xmas and a bright New Year, From Lucy and Bob, 1907) on the inside of the upper cover
