Samuel Taylor Coleridge
Samuel Taylor Coleridge was an important English poet, critic and philosopher. He was close friends with William Wordsworth, and together they were important founders of the Romantic Movement in England and the Lake Poets. His best known poems are The Rime of the Ancient Mariner and Kubla Khan, although more influential works were probably poems like This Lime-Tree Bower My Prison, Frost at Midnight, Dejection and The Pains of Sleep. His major prose work was Biographia Literaria.
