The first and best known of Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit Series books, first published privately in 1901, then by Frederick Warne and Co in 1902. Being rather delicate books and given mainly to small children, first and early editions rarely survive in nice condition and are sought after both Potter collectors and people wishing to give a special present. Peter Rabbit lives with his three sisters (Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cotton-tail) and their mother. He invades the garden of Mr. McGregor, despite his mother's orders not to do so, and his adventures begin ….
