Welcome to the TARS Stall. The TARS Stall carries a range of Arthur Ransome related books and audiobooks, together with other items, such as badges, burgees, car stickers, maps, pens, playing cards, ties and videos. It also sells back copies of some of the TARS publications, such as Mixed Moss, The Literary Transactions and The Outlaw. Please search or browse the items in our store.
For those of you who prefer to do things the traditional way, you can also order by post or by calling into our shop (although it is not possible to "browse" items in the shop). When paying by cheque, please make cheques payable to Kirkland Books. Stall items will also be available at selected TARS events.
For web orders, P&P charges are calculated based on the actual cost and you can choose from a range of services. The cost can be estimated at the shopping basket and will be calculated and shown, during checkout, before you finally place your order. Unfortunately, we are not yet clever enough to calculate surface shipping rates so you will need to contact us for a quote. The surface rate charge is normally about half that of airmail. Contact us if you need clarification or to check the cost.
Orders from the TARS Stall are restricted to members in good standing of The Arthur Ransome Society in accordance with The Companies Act 1985 and 1989 and goods will normally be sent to your TARS registered address. Your name and address will be checked against the current membership database before processing your order. In the shop, you will need some personal identification, or evidence of your TARS membership.
